Iran Denies Trump's Statements on This Serious Issue

Through Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, the Iranian government has said that it has never made a request to the United States to suspend military operations in order to continue negotiations. He stressed that such statements do not correspond to Tehran's official position.

Baghaei also denied reports that Iran has agreed to a plan to share control of the Strait of Hormuz with Oman or to open the passage under conditions set by the United States.
