US President Donald Trump has said that the leaders of China and Russia have assured him that their nations will not supply or sell weapons to Iran, a move he called an important step in efforts to maintain international security.

Trump made the statement through a message he posted on his Truth Social network, explaining that he received the promise directly from Chinese President Xi Jinping during their recent meeting in Beijing.

According to Trump, Xi Jinping made it clear to him that China will not supply or sell weapons to Iran under any circumstances. He stressed that this position also applies to all Chinese businessmen and companies, which will not be allowed to trade weapons with Iran.
