According to an Axios report, citing European diplomats, Washington has been holding talks with its allies on how to strengthen the security of the vital international trade route, while seeking support from other nations.
The report also says that Britain and France have been lobbying some countries to support the plan. However, some of the countries asked to participate are said to have set conditions that their participation should focus on protecting maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and not involve participating in military operations against any party.READ FULL STORY.
