"Saudi Arabia Must Recognize Israel to Possess Nuclear Weapons" - President Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump has said that the landmark nuclear deal announced between the US and Saudi Arabia is conditional on Riyadh joining the Abraham Accords, in other words recognizing the state of Israel.

"The Civil Nuclear Deal (There will be no material enrichment!)... which is for non-military uses only... will be approved, but is contingent on Saudi Arabia joining the respected Abraham Accords and succeeding," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Trump's remarks come after criticism from experts that the agreement could lead to the risk of nuclear proliferation in an already unstable region.

The nuclear issue has been at the center of months of conflict between the United States and Israel and Iran.
