Iran Strikes Down the United States

The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has officially announced its position that it will not be the first country to request peace talks with the United States under military pressure, insisting that Washington was the one who destroyed the previous diplomatic agreement. 

The statement, made today in Tehran, comes in the wake of increased US sanctions and military operations in the region, as Iran refuses to loosen its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
