Iran sinks tanker in Strait of Hormuz after international outcry

The high political and military tensions between Iran and the United States have taken a new turn following the sinking of the commercial ship known as the Luni. 

The incident occurred in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping route in the world. The move has sparked major security and economic concerns in the Middle East and around the world.

The Luni ship encountered the storm after defying official warnings from the Iranian navy. Instead of following the safety guidelines of the country that holds jurisdiction in the area, the ship chose to follow instructions and orders from the US government.
